London Fashion Week Internship
During London Fashion Week 2019, I interned with POP PR, a London and LA based PR company. My role as an intern at London Fashion Week allowed me to gain an understanding of a fast paced, high fashion working environment, highlighting my ability to work well under pressure as well as effectively with a new team of people. Throughout the role, it was my responsibility to register guests and make sure they were seated for the catwalks, communicating frequently with the other team members to ensure a smooth running entrance.
This gave me insight into both Public Relations and Events Management as we were taught about the process of preparing for an event of this scale, as well as physically assisting with event proceedings over the weekend. I also assisted the designers and stylists before the catwalks, preparing garments as well as helping to dress the models furthering my assistant experience and applying it to a high fashion catwalk setting. Throughout the placement I worked a total of 10 catwalk shows ranging from Rocky Star, Pam Hogg and Malan Breton giving me insight into the high fashion industry as well furthering my enthusiasm to learn.
